TJ2011: Fremont BART Construction Site tour for 2011 TJ Mission participants

I have set up a construction site tour at the BART subway project at Fremont Central Park (part of the Warn Springs Extension) with BART's Community Outreach Program.  I told them we have a total of around 20 people interested seeing the construction. My company is working on the excavation steel shoring system installation and removal on this project.

Date : Feb 21, 2011 (Presidents' Day, a school holiday )

Time: 10:00 am
Location : 1320 Stevenson Blvd, Fremont

Hardhat Tour (that can walk inside the actual fenced-in construction site) for 16 years or older in age

12 spaces available

 Fence Line Tour (that can see the site but not actually walk inside) for kids younger than 16 years of age.

 8 spaces or so available. 

There will be an overview project orientation for both tours at the site trailer.

Both tours will start at the same time and finish at about the same time 

The whole thing will take about 1 to 1-1/2 hour.

I will be there and Need at least another 2 or 3 parents 

Spaces are limited so get back to me ASAP if you are interested in going.

No tennis shoes !  Proper safety shoes are required ( we will need that for TJ mission trip anyway !)

Thank you very much to set this up, and we usually don't have this opportunity to visit this kind of construction site.  Quite a few of TJ2011 participants are living fairly close to the construction site, and since it's on Monday, I am not sure how many parents are getting that day off (at least I have to work).

Anybody interested in going?  This is a very rare opportunity, and do reply back to me ASAP, and again, we need another 2-3 adults.

Hi all,

 

Just confirmed with Stephen that he will have an oral surgery on this Friday, and in order to make sure Stephen can have enough rest for speedy recovery, so we decided to cancel this construction site tour.  Have a wonderful long weekend.
