Re: Status update of Fr. Wang - James Hua

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

Thanks for your effective prayer! Fr. Wang is getting better. Very good news!

Our dear sister Ana Tsai visited Fr. Wang yesterday. She had a chance talking to Fr. John, who is the superior of Jesuit Community in Las Gatos.

Fr. John said that Fr. Wang is much better now, and it would be good if we from Chinese Community can visit him in a regular basis. Fr. John thinks that seeing Chinese friends is a good thing to Fr. Wang's recovery. It will be good too if visitors can bring some Chinese news paper or magazines for him to read during recovery time.

Now that Fr. Wang has stabilized, therefore it is not a problem to take him out to garden for a short walk (10-15 minutes limit). Fr. John ask visitors to let nurse know that we (visitors) are responsible to bring Fr. Wang back within 10-15 minute. The number of visitor is still limited to 2-3 people each time, definitely not a big group. Nurse phone line is (408)884-1800.

Let's continue our prayer for Fr. Wang's speedy recovery. May God bless Fr. Wang abundantly.

Status update of Fr. Wang - James Hua

 Dear Brothers and Sisters,

Thank you so much for your love and warm action to our dear Fr. Wang! Fr. Wang appreciates your kind heart!

Due to the overwhelming numbers of visitors, I was told twice through visitors note from head nurse that whoever would like to visit Fr. Wang needs to call the nurse station first.

One reason is that Fr. Wang may be sleeping and visitors are then sent back (happened yesterday).

The other is to prevent too many visitors or frequent visits in one day so that Fr. Wang can have plenty of rest to recover faster. It is better for nurse to control the flow. Hope you understand this.

Here is the nurse phone line: (408)884-1800. Please ask for Fr. Wang's visiting schedule before you go.

May God bless Fr. Wang and grant him good health.

The evening will start with a Parish Social and continue with the meeting.
Child Care, for children 4 through 12 years of age, will be provided during the meeting at no cost. Children will be able to share a dinner meal of pizza, fruit and vegetables while adults are at the meeting.
Please make sure that you sign up after any of the masses so that we can plan for your attendance. You may also contact the rectory to respond. Contact information is on this page.

===============================

Here is what Joseph Ku had sent to Fr. Rick regarding some feedback about the future that relates to SJCCC:

..................
Fr. Rick,

A few feedback about Town Hall meeting from our community after Mass.

1. need to find a way to reduce the noise of rest room in/out during Mass. (stuff some cushion on the door edge)
2. Need to have more “meeting rooms” available in St. Clare
3. Can we access meeting rooms in Rectory more conveniently?
4. need to have more accessible rest rooms in the church premises
5. need to have pest control coming to clean up rats in the room 6
6. Our Youth faith sharing/fellowship on Saturday Evening is outgrown the class room size, Could they use social hall?

Could be more in next Tuesday meeting.

Joseph Ku
..................

Please join us in this event for the benefit of all. May God bless you!

Status of Fr. Wang/James Hua

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

This is to provide you the latest update of our beloved Fr. Wang.

Fr. Wang had a fire accident last Friday. Fr. Wang was not injured but his room is not suitable for living so his superior moved him to the first floor. Unfortunately, it was determined that the fire was originated in Father Wang's room.

Due to the shocking experience, Jesuit Retirement House superior believes it's better for Fr. Wang to take good rest and not to go out for any activity.

My wife and I went to visit Fr. Wang today at 11:00. Walking down the hallway, we can see drywall torn open and equipment was inserted into walls to dry out water from sprinkling system due to the fire.

He was lying on his bed awake when nurse lead us to his room. He looked fragile but was very happy to see us. He has no problem with mobility and can walk around by himself. He had some cough due to inhaling smoke. We chatted about what happened but he did not have a clue about the fire. As requested, we had only about 5 to 10 minutes staying so as not to disturb him too much.

Please pray for Fr. Wang for his speedy recovery from the traumatic experience.

At the mean time, Fr. Koo announced (in All Saints Day Mass) that he will try his best to find a priest for reconciliation before 3 PM Sunday Mass. If we can't find any, Fr. Koo or priest for the 3 PM Mass will hear confession from 2:30 to 2:55. There will be no reconciliation during Mass and it's not an approved practice anyway.

For all brothers and sisters who are scheduled to escorting Fr. Wang to Sunday Mass, please DO NOT pick up Fr. Wang as requested by his superior. Fr. Wang needs rest. Please stay tune for further information.

We all love Fr. Wang and I know many of you want to see him to comfort him. Please note that it is still not very convenient for him to see visitor.

To me it's very crude not allowing you to see our beloved Fr. Wang. I believe once per day, 5 to 10 minutes visit, during day time should be OK. Could you please drop me an email if you want to see him? I can monitor how frequent he is visited and prevent too many in a day.

May God bless Fr. Wang and protect him!

James Hua
